AutoForm-Sigmaplus R7 Workshop
August 3, 2018 – Troy, Michigan USA

You’re exclusively invited to attend our AutoForm-Sigmaplus R7 Workshop on Friday, August 3, 2018. Doors open for registration at 7:30 AM and workshop will begin at 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

During part, tool and process design, engineers evaluate several parameters for their impact on the forming process and its outcome relative to the quality of the final part. The current and conventional approach to establishing a feasible forming process is time consuming, requires persistent manual operation to mature the process, involves subjective handling of limited alternatives, and is highly likely to arrive at “convenient” solutions not necessarily optimal to considerations of cost, quality and time.

This workshop introduces tooling and process engineers to a systematic and highly efficient approach to engineering and validating optimal forming processes. This approach relies upon, and takes full advantage, of engineers' experience and intuition, and can produce a solution that represents an objective balance between conflicting and critical quality and cost targets; all of this with minimal encroachment upon engineers' valuable time towards repetitive and low-value tasks.

Participants of the workshop will be guided step-by-step through the application workflow by way of practical examples. Issues such as feasibility and springback, as well as process robustness and cost will be addressed. The wide range of applications of our comprehensive and easy-to-use approach, along with its great many benefits, will be presented.
