This course introduces a systematic approach, using AutoForm-BuildOptimizer, for joining equipment and process development, through the analysis of the influence and sensitivity of controllable and noise parameters on the assembly’s dimensional accuracy.
Participants will learn how to incorporate dimensional variations from child-part forming simulations into their assembly simulations and how the output assembly dimensional variation may be mitigated by virtual shimming of simulation components.
This half-day course provides an introduction to AutoForm-BuildOptimizer and is intended for die designers, tooling engineers, BiW manufacturing engineers and process planners that need to understand the effects of manufacturing variation and how to manage it.
Pre-requisite: Assembly BiW or Assembly Hemming
