AutoForm Group Acquires Stampack GmbH

AutoForm Engineering GmbH, the leading supplier of software solutions for stamping and BiW assembly processes, announces the acquisition of Stampack GmbH, Germany. This acquisition underscores AutoForm’s commitment to driving continuous innovation and advancing the accuracy of stamping simulation.

AutoForm Group has acquired Stampack GmbH, strengthening its position as a global leader in sheet metal forming technologies. Stampack’s specialized expertise and software portfolio, most notably in explicit solver technology and solid element simulations, perfectly complement AutoForm’s comprehensive range of solutions, creating new opportunities for innovation and customer value.

Stampack’s software is built on explicit solver technology that efficiently handles cases involving rapid deformation and complex contact changes. Furthermore, the software allows for reliable validation of forming processes for parts with thick sheets, small radii or reduced material thickness. By complementing its software product line with Stampack’s software, AutoForm can better support its current customers in addressing their sheet metal forming challenges, including the LogoPress customers, while also expanding its customer footprint in the automotive, aircraft, household and electrical industries. Stampack will benefit from AutoForm’s 30 years of experience in the sheet metal forming domain and its strong implementation track record globally, with a symbiotic combination that will deliver higher value to existing customers while opening new industries for continued growth.

In addition, the acquired technology will be able to address new fields of application such as structural dynamics, ballistic and defense, complex assemblies in various industries such as shipbuilding, construction, energy and infrastructure through its explicit solver technology and solid element simulation.

Olivier Leteurtre, CEO of the AutoForm Group, commented: “I am very excited about AutoForm’s strategic acquisition of Stampack. By combining our complementary know-how, we can expand our portfolio and deliver even greater value to existing and new customers across the automotive, aerospace, household appliance, electrical and other industries which we do not currently serve.”

Dr. Luca Hornung, CEO of Stampack GmbH and former owner, commented: “I’m very happy to be part of the AutoForm Group and to be able to contribute to its future success. Stampack’s technology and market focus complement AutoForm’s business and open new opportunities for AutoForm. In addition, we will leverage AutoForm’s experience and resources to scale up Stampack’s deep market penetration in German-speaking countries on a global scale.”
