AutoForm Training Seminars:
Robust Manufacturing
This course provides an in-depth training for the analysis and
improvement of the robustness of sheet metal products and processes,
using AutoForm-Sigma in combination with AutoForm-OneStep, AutoForm-DieDesigner
and AutoForm-Incremental.
The course covers practical applications for determining the most
robust part design, tool design and process design. This involves
analyzing the influence and sensitivity of various design parameters
on the forming process (e.g. part radius, addendum, draw beads,
lubrication, binder force, material properties), determining the
process capability Cpk, and process optimization. In addition,
the course covers the application of statistical process control
techniques during the early design phases for parts, tools and processes.
Course participants are also introduced to specialized and automated
features of AutoForm-Sigma, for preparing robust manufacturing
analyses and for controlling other AutoForm modules.

Audience
This course is recommended for part designers, feasibility engineers,
die designers and tool makers. Experience with AutoForm-Incremental
or AutoForm-DieDesigner is required.
