AutoForm Training Seminars:
Simulation of Forming Operations
Up to now, many users considered only the deep drawing process
during simulation. However, it is also important to consider
secondary operations. They have to be analyzed for an absolutely
reliable process layout. With such practice, not only splits and
wrinkles are avoided, but, in addition, the tryout process of
the trim dies can be reduced.
This training is specially addressed to the requirements of the
simulation of secondary operations for both the generation of tool
geometries in AutoForm-DieDesigner and the correct selection of
the element formulation in the Process generator. The computation
time for the secondary operations can be kept comparatively short
by means of the skilled application of the function Restart. Finally,
some special characteristics of the evaluation of the secondary
operations are introduced.
Main focus of the training is:
 |
Automatic tool generation for secondary operations in AutoForm-DieDesigner |
 |
Representation of complex tool kinematics |
 |
Effective application of the implemented element types BEM and EPS |
 |
Restart functionality |
 |
Rapid automatic determination of the optimal trim contour or the optimal sheared blank |
 |
Special simulation evaluation for secondary operations due to non linear strain paths |
The training can also be used to brush-up on existing AutoForm knowledge
and skills – acquired e.g. during update trainings – for
the intensive application of the simulation of all operations.
