Biddding & Planning II
The costs for the production of a sheet metal part are not only determined
by the tooling costs, but also the material usage, i.e. the sheet metal
material and the blank size are factors which have a crucial impact on
increasing production volume. This training informs the audience about
the material costs determination in a few steps based on the part geometry in AutoForm.
For this purpose, initially a feasible die tip is automatically determined
and a planar developed blank is determined by means of a one step method.
Subsequently, the optimal embedding of the blank on the coil and the
corresponding material costs can be determined for different blank shapes (rectangle, arc, etc.).
In combination with the course Bidding & Planning I, the audience is
able to determine the total part costs (tooling and material costs) in AutoForm.
