AutoForm Training Seminars:
Biddding & Planning I
This training is intended for planners and cost estimators who have
to reliably deduce the material costs from the part geometry. For
this purpose, AutoForm has developed the effective software tool
AutoForm-CostCalculator. It has been designed to determine the
manufacturing costs of the toolset needed for any formed sheet metal part.
The training starts with the introduction of basic functions such as
geometry import and part tipping. Even absolute AutoForm beginners
quickly become acquainted with the reliable use of the software.
Thereafter, all process relevant key data are established and the
automatic feature detection is started. By means of only a few mouse
clicks, the user is able to improve the process layout until all
cost relevant tool components and, thus, final costs are calculated.
Different part and tooling concepts are introduced in the training
allowing the user to learn about the basic principles of the component
cost calculation, e.g. a trim steel or a pierce punch. The training is
completed by an overview of adaptation options for cost calculation,
such as definition of customer specific hourly wage rates.
