AutoForm-OneStep for CATIA V5:
An essential toolkit for sheet metal product designers,
which enables manufacturability assessments inside CATIA V5 |
The partnership leverages the unique expertise of AutoForm
for sheet metal forming process simulation within the powerful
design functionalities of CATIA V5. Staying within the CATIA V5
design environment, the product designers, process planners, and
tool designers will be able to quickly and efficiently perform
early manufacturability and cost assessments, set up the entire
stamping process, make process modifications, and consider and
evaluate different process layouts in order to find the best ones.
CATIA users will benefit from AutoForm’s unique solutions
that are available for the entire process chain and from the
software’s well-known result accuracy, stability, and performance.
AutoForm-OneStep for CATIA V5—an essential toolkit for
sheet metal product designers, which enables manufacturability
assessments inside CATIA V5—is the first fully-integrated
AutoForm software module in the CATIA V5 environment. By joining
the Dassault Systèmes Software Community Program, AutoForm
will continue to integrate its solutions, maintaining full compatibility
with CATIA and at the same time providing innovations for the
automotive industry.
Dr. Waldemar Kubli, CEO of AutoForm Engineering, stated:
“This partnership is an integral part of AutoForm’s
strategy, and will provide significant benefits to our customers
who are leveraging CATIA for product lifecycle management. By
integrating and complementing our suite of solutions with the
highly-productive CATIA V5 portfolio, we will continue to
deliver state-of-the-art solutions to our mutual customers and
to support them in bringing high-quality products to the market
faster and more cost-efficiently.”
“The integration of AutoForm capabilities within CATIA
will enable our manufacturing customers to compress time in their
design-to-production processes, which is especially valuable
to the automotive industry,” states Ken Short, VP strategy
and marketing, SIMULIA, Dassault Systèmes. “As a
DS software community partner, AutoForm will be able to work
closely with our R&D teams to enhance the capabilities and
scalability of their sheet metal forming solutions directly in
CATIA, as well as extend the integration within SIMULIA’s
realistic simulation product portfolio.”
