AutoForm Unveils AutoForm-CostCalculator to Major OEMs and Suppliers

AutoForm Engineering GmbH, the leading supplier of software solutions for the sheet metal forming industry, has unveiled AutoForm-CostCalculator to major OEMs and suppliers. This software enables rapid and transparent production sequence definition and the calculation of all tooling and material costs associated with the production of automotive body parts.

AutoForm has unveiled AutoForm-CostCalculator, one of its latest software solutions, to major OEMs and suppliers. The promotion started in Germany in September, when the software was presented at several seminars. This month, AutoForm-CostCalculator was presented in Italy. According to the interest of the audience, number of purchased licenses and registrations for trainings, the software has attracted great attention and has been successfully introduced on the market.

This successful introduction is a result of the immediate benefits recognized by the users in the planning and tooling departments. They have been supplied with a powerful push-button solution for tool cost calculation. The tedious Excel-based worksheets, manually created data to describe the sheet metal part, subjective judgments on cost calculation, lack of transparency and result reproducibility have now been replaced by an elegant, easy-to-use software for all planning tasks associated with the production of sheet metal parts.
