Cooperation between AutoForm and Quantech
AutoForm Engineering GmbH, the leading provider of software solutions
for die design and sheet metal forming simulation, has announced
its cooperation with Quantech ATZ, S.A. – AutoForm exclusively
sells Quantech’s software Stampack. The worldwide sale is
available both directly and through AutoForm’s agents.
Dr. Volker Steininger, COO of AutoForm Engineering, stated: “AutoForm
and Quantech will adjust their products accordingly. AutoForm is
the main software solution for deep drawing and hydroforming processes.
Stampack is the complementary solution for niche applications such
as ironing, coining, stretch forming, forming of thick sheets,
hydroforming of multi chamber profiles, etc.”
The simulation software Stampack has already won several prizes.
Stampack has been specialized for one-stage or multi-stage sheet
metal forming processes used in automotive, aerospace, household
appliance or metal packaging industries. The user interface of
Stampack supports graphically the definition of these niche processes
which, combined with a very flexible solver, makes the simulation
of different forming processes possible.
For users interested not only in the standard deep drawing processes
but also in niche processes, the combination of AutoForm and Stampack
software is the ideal package. In addition to outstanding accuracy
and short computation times for the simulation of deep drawing
processes, best results are also achievable now for the simulation
of niche applications.
The software of AutoForm and Stampack are oriented towards the
development process, focused on practice and their usage does not
require FEA expertise. The users can set-up and run the simulations
automatically and concentrate on the solution of their engineering
problems instead of on the selection of complex numerical parameters.
In addition, the experienced Stampack user can define individual
forming processes via the open interfaces of Stampack. Using Stampack,
the AutoForm customer can design niche sheet metal forming processes
without physical prototyping. Such approach results in significant
time and cost savings.
