Audi and AutoForm Announce Cooperation

AutoForm Engineering GmbH, the leading provider of software solutions for die design and sheet metal forming simulation, has announced its cooperation with AUDI AG. Following the motto: “No hardware without software“, AUDI AG integrates the AutoForm software solutions into the entire stamping process chain. For AutoForm Engineering GmbH, this integration means an increasing and long-term usage of its software at Audi and its suppliers. Using AutoForm software solutions, Audi manufactures the sheet metal forming tools and stampings more efficiently. AutoForm supports such progress by fast and user-oriented software development. The cooperation with a company, whose tool shop belongs to the most modern and most innovative tool manufacturers worldwide, is a great acknowledgement and motivation for AutoForm.

Dr. Waldemar Kubli, founder and CEO of AutoForm, has a long history of cooperation with Audi. Audi was his industrial partner during the work on his doctoral thesis. The AutoForm founder explains: “I am glad that our long lasting cooperation with Audi is strengthened. Audi is an innovative and strong premium manufacturer with a demand for extraordinary quality.“

The goal for both companies is the further development of AutoForm’s software solutions for the tool & die and sheet metals production. The agreed cooperation is without time constraints. Optimized interfaces between the Audi departments and the AutoForm developers favour the cooperation and promote an energizing exchange of knowledge. A non-disclosure agreement ensures the exclusivity of ideas and concepts and secures the competitive advantage for both parties.

“This agreement is an acknowledgment for our continuous aspiration for innovative solutions. Close cooperation with Audi encourages us, because the Audi tooling department sets the benchmark regarding quality, efficiency, technology and process security“, summarizes Dr. Waldemar Kubli.
