UserMeeting in Germany
September 27 - 28, 2006 in Ulm

AutoForm Engineering GmbH, the leading provider of software solutions for the die-making and sheet metal forming industries, arranged its second German-speaking UserMeeting in Ulm on September 27 - 28, 2006.

Dr. Volker Steininger, COO of AutoForm Engineering GmbH, reports: “We are happy to welcome more than 100 AutoForm software users from Germany, The Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland to our event in Ulm. As already in 2004, when our first UserMeeting took place, we are proud to announce again that our conference met the requirements of our users and our meeting was a great success.”

The first day focussed on the users’ experiences with AutoForm software. From the ‘Digitale Fabrik’ to the increase of the quality of sheet metal parts and process planning until final validation and optimization of the production process – all presentations prove AutoForm’s reliable and cost efficient use from the process beginning until tool release.

Valuable presentations by representatives of BMFormTec GmbH, BMW AG, of Corus, Franke Küchentechnik AG, Wolfgang Loch e.K., Schmolz & Bickenbach Hydroform GmbH, Seidel GmbH & Co. as well as ThyssenKrupp Steel AG initialized deeper discussions.

AutoForm presented all AutoForm-solutions at different demonstration points in the foyer. AutoForm cooperation partners FEMUTEC Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, Men at Work GmbH together with Wolfgang Loch e.K., Tebis AG and WeSt GmbH also had their own demonstration points.

All participants enjoyed a fun race by proving their driving skills in a contest with two driving simulations. The three winners received a driving cup each. First winner was Mr. Andreas Mächtle of Merima Präzisions-Werkzeugbau GmbH. Congratulations to all winners for their excellent achievements.

The second day was dedicated to the new AutoForm release 4.1 which focuses on springback compensation. Dr. Waldemar Kubli, CEO of AutoForm, presented the most important features of the new version.

„We noted our users’ great interest for the new version 4.1. This confirms that the direction we chose for the development of version 4.1 was right. After two highly interesting days in Ulm we are already looking forward to our next UserMeeting”, summarizes Dr. Volker Steininger.
