Vice President, Tom Busse explains: “Rockford Toolcraft,
Inc. has been an expert for over 30 years in producing automotive
stampings, production stampings, precision metal stampings, and
heavy gauge stampings. The use of simulation software to model
and validate our tooling well before die tryout allows Toolcraft
to stay highly competitive and rapidly deliver the product quality
and innovation that customers have come to expect from us.”
Toolcraft chose AutoForm after careful evaluation of various
products and consulting their industrial peers on the product
with best ROI. Busse adds “AutoForm has proven to be the
most reliable, efficient and user-friendly software on the market
with a number of specialized products that serve us well. Recently
we built a form die for an 8mm-thick HSLA part weighing over
35 lbs based on the AutoForm simulation. The results were quite
identical to AutoForm’s prediction as well as the blank
development which was radically different than our first estimation
using the ’old fashioned way’. By combining our years
of tooling expertise with the latest simulation technology, Toolcraft
will further improve customer credibility by delivering significantly
greater value in terms of quality, cost and time.“
Toolcraft uses AutoForm-OneStep and AutoForm-Nest for quick
blank-sizing and material optimization helping to generate accurate
cost proposals during the quoting stage. Once the business in
awarded, advanced die-engineering is done with AutoForm-Incremental
which enables rapid and precise verification of the manufacturing
process directly on the computer without the need for constant
physical trial-and-error. Finally, the AutoForm-Trim module helps
optimize the final trim-line eliminating weeks of blank laser-cutting
trials.
Dr. Vallury Prabhakar, CEO of AutoForm Engineering USA, Inc.
(Troy, MI) says “We are proud to be the solution of choice
for a prestigious company like Rockford Toolcraft and look forward
to supporting Tom and his team in achieving greater efficiency
and throughput while slashing production costs in a very competitive
environment.”
