AutoForm Wins Prestigious PACE Award for its Continuous Innovation
AutoForm Engineering is proud winner of the Automotive News
PACE Award 2004, which recognizes its innovative software solution
AutoForm-DieDesigner. The winners of this global contest were
announced at a ceremony on Monday, March 8, at the Detroit Opera House.
A panel of independent judges selected 23 finalists from hundreds
of applicants. Finally, eleven winners were announced in different
categories. Among the winners were also BASF, Delphi, Denso,
DuPont, Motorola, TRW Automotive and Visteon.
AutoForm participated with its software solution DieDesigner,
which is a major innovation enhancing quality and productivity
in stamping die design and tooling development. The judges’ comment
on time savings: “In the testing of alternate die designs,
DieDesigner is so fast and powerful that it permits exploration
of multiple alternatives to an extent that was not possible before…” They
also praise the seamless integration with process simulation
software solutions of AutoForm, and the resulting high level
of design quality: ”When a die design has been optimized
using DieDesigner, the dies can typically produce parts from
the first hit with no major problems and minimal rework.”
