AutoForm Establishes Cooperations with Top CAD Suppliers for Automotive Industry

AutoForm Engineering announced today the signing of software development agreements with Spatial (Dassault Systèmes) and UGS PLM Solutions - establishing AutoForm as a Dassault CATIA CAA V5 Adopter and as a UGS PLM Solutions Toolkit Value Added Reseller.

Under these agreements, AutoForm will link its technology to the UniGraphics NX and CATIA V5 environments, and expand the AutoForm product portfolio by developing and selling portals to these environments on the basis of UniGraphics NX and CATIA V5 middleware.

This allows AutoForm's software for sheet metal forming simulation, die face engineering and process optimization to be seamlessly integrated with the most widely used PLM systems in the automotive and supplier industries.

Customers will therefore benefit from a broad range of CAD functionalities, combined with AutoForm's specialized software solutions. By integrating the AutoForm simulation and optimization results directly into the PLM environment, customers will be able to streamline their sheet metal forming processes, from design to manufacturing.

AutoForm will initially focus on developing interfaces to CATIA V5 and UniGraphics NX, which will substantially reduce the time required for designers and engineers to exchange data and geometry between AutoForm and the CAD systems.
