Process Improvement – Systematic Tool Development and Effective Tryout / Press Shop Support

The training introduces a systematic procedure for the application of AutoForm-Sigma^plus through which the results of part design, tool design and process layout definition can be significantly improved. In addition, reliable approaches will be utilized to resolve try out and production issues.

The following main topics will be covered in detail:

• Determination of the influence and sensitivity of freely selectable design parameters (e.g. part radius, addendum, drawbeads, blank shape, binder force ...) on the forming results
• Integration of AutoForm-Sigma^plus into the process of part design, tool design and process layout definition
• Introduction of application guidelines for practical use of AutoForm-Sigma^plus
• Application of evaluation guidelines for the implementation of the results of AutoForm-Sigma^plus, to enable systematic tool design or tryout/production support

The introduction of such procedures will enable an improved understanding of the process and will thus result in reduced development times and significant time savings for tryout.

The use of practical exercises will show the participants how to rapidly and effectively set up and evaluate Sigma analyses.

Audience

This two-day course is recommended for part designers, feasibility engineers, die designers and tool makers. Experience with AutoForm-ProcessExplorer^plus and AutoForm-DieDesigner^plus is required.
