How can I design a draw die with two punches in AutoForm-DieDesignerplus? Can I also develop the flanges on a CAD draw die in AutoForm? How can I create a re-draw for a multi-stage forming process?
These and many more questions will be answered in the Advanced Training Process Engineering III course. Discover the use of any unknown functions in AutoForm-DieDesignerplus and learn important tricks and tips with which you can design far more than just the draw stage tooling of a single action process within AutoForm.
Investigate the entire forming process through the simulation and evaluation of secondary operations. Discover the use of advanced post processing techniques to, for example, evaluate results exhibiting non-linear strain paths or evaluate the surface quality of outer panels.
The deeper you immerse yourself into the advanced functionality of AutoForm, the more precise will be your understanding of your forming processes and, consequently, the higher the chance of realizing the optimal result.
Main focus of the training:
- Draw die development for several part types
- Draw die design for pre-draw and final draw
- Binder and addendum generation
- Trim angle analysis
- Replacement of the part geometry
- Specific simulation evaluation for secondary operations due to non-linear strain paths
- Assessment of the quality of outer panels
Products
- AutoForm-ProcessExplorerplus
- AutoForm-DieDesignerplus
Audience
This three-day training is intended for process planners and tool designers with a basic knowledge of AutoForm-ProcessExplorerplus and AutoForm-DieDesignerplus. Process Engineering I & II are prerequisites for participation.
Training seminars are held at AutoForm’s offices in the USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Japan and Korea. Upon request, the seminars can also be held at customer sites. Please contact your AutoForm team to schedule a session.
