Hydroforming

This course provides an introduction to rapid part modification, tooling and process design, for tubular hydroformed parts, and simulation of tube hydroforming processes, using AutoForm-HydroDesigner and AutoForm-Hydro. Participants are introduced to the intuitive AutoForm-UserInterface, the common integrated work environment for all AutoForm software modules.

The course covers all the functionality necessary for product feasibility analyses, process planning, die layout, pre-bend development, as well as full hydroforming process simulation – set up, execution and post-processing. It covers all the common and essential elements of a tubular hydroforming process: pre-bending, performing, annealing, hydroform expansion, calibration and springback.

All of the above functionality is demonstrated on typical, real life part, process and tooling data. Users should be able to start productive application of AutoForm-HydroDesigner and AutoForm-Hydro following this course.

Audience

This two-day course is recommended for feasibility engineers, die face engineers and tool makers. FEA (finite element analysis) experience is not required. It is assumed that participants have a basic knowledge of hydroforming. No prior AutoForm training or experience is required.

Training seminars are held at AutoForm’s offices in the USA, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Japan and Korea. Upon request, the seminars can also be held at customer sites. Please contact your AutoForm team to schedule a session.
