Application Field: Optimized Roll and Table Hemming

Strongly oriented to customers’ needs, AutoForm has succeeded in developing a solution which enables users to easily and efficiently define and optimize the hemming process. During this process, the flange of the outer panel is bent over the inner one. The accuracy of the hemming operation is very important as it affects the surface appearance and thus influences surface quality.

By using AutoForm-Incremental^plus there is no longer a need to design dies and tools for the hemming process which are based on experience gained from similar parts already in production and on costly trial and error principle in tryout. AutoForm-Incremental^plus supports both roll (figure left) and table (figure right) hemming.
