AutoForm Announces New Product Line – AutoForm^plus

AutoForm Engineering GmbH, the leading supplier of software solutions for the sheet metal forming industry, announces a new product line called AutoForm^plus. This state-of-the-art technology covers the entire process chain and brings together all the important aspects of sheet metal forming. The innovations achieved with AutoForm^plus will mark a radical step forward in the sheet metal forming industry.

The new product line AutoForm^plus aims towards Comprehensive Digital Process Planning, a multidimensional approach which considers function and quality as well as lead time and cost.

The increasing global competition, pressure to reduce cost, ever higher quality requirements and new materials are all challenging tasks for the automotive industry. The main goal is fast-to-market production of quality parts at low total cost. AutoForm has recognized this essential requirement and has therefore focused on the development of a new product line which meets the latest challenges in the automotive industry. The new product line brings together all the important aspects of sheet metal forming, including process layout, fast die face design, springback compensation, surface quality prediction, try-out support, stamping robustness, and cost of tooling, material and production.

The new product line aims towards Comprehensive Digital Process Planning, a multidimensional approach which considers function and quality as well as lead time and cost. These dimensions have a profound influence on the forming process; their appropriate balance brings a new level of competitiveness. Users can establish well-defined, comprehensive workflows across the disciplines involved, ranging from product design through planning and tooling up to production. Comprehensive Digital Process Planning results in fast-to-market production of quality parts at low total cost. This new product line is based on a completely new software architecture and a unified data model. The first release of this line focuses primarily on AutoForm’s new solver technology and is planned to be delivered to users in May.
